Managing Director : Patrick Booth
Patrick has significant experience leading successful multi-discipline resource and energy sector operations through the identification, development and execution of strategic investment opportunities. As Manager of Energy for BHP Billiton Illawarra Coal, he was responsible for gas and electricity procurement and sale and also owner operator and contract gas conversion facilities including the internationally acclaimed “WestVAMP” mine ventilation air methane plant.
Patrick is the holder of a B.E (Honours) Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wollongong, a Black Belt in Business Improvement Process (Six Sigma) and trade and statutory qualifications for Australian coal mines having commenced in the industry as an apprentice electrician. Recognised for a safety focussed hands on approach to solving challenges, Patrick has recently been engaged as a consulting engineer to several Universities and energy retailers, following a passion for innovative research efforts and value adding solutions.
Patrick has been an invited guest speaker to the Global Methane Initiative (GMI) Coal Mining Sector International Conference Sydney 2012, USEPA Coal Mine Methane conference Pittsburgh 2008, and the Minerals Council of Australia Sustainable Development Conference 2003 where he shared his experiences in implementing sustainability and resource recovery projects.
